The Relationship between Healthcare and Medical Schools

Most Medical schools provide very large amounts of patient care to the population. There are more than 100,000 clinical faculty in medical schools and over 100 Academic Health Centers.  Most of these physicians operate through what are called Faculty Practice Groups with business relationships with the Academic Health Centers (AHC) and other hospitals.

Academic Health Centers are vital providers of patient care, from basic to advanced, and offer comprehensive as well as cutting-edge treatment. Their large portfolios of research generate new ideas, leading to novel concepts and therapies.

Today, AHC are recognized as national economic engines and complex business enterprises. In collaboration with affiliated institutions it is our intention to develop an AHC.

Our goal is to develop the first Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) accredited private and proprietary academic Medical College and Academic Health Center in the United States, located in Palm Beach County, Florida. A detailed 10 year business plan has been prepared to guide the development and financing of the school. We have strategically designed the various segments that will significantly influence the success of our school, including:

Our The PBMC will have a Board of Directors, a President/COO and a Dean. To qualify for accreditation, we will incorporate the standards of the LCME for the administrative and academic structure of a medical school:

  • The Dean will nationally recruited and appointed by the President of the University with the approval of the Board of Regents. (Board of Directors)
  • The Dean will be the ultimate authority of the medical school and will be responsible for the overall management of the school of medicine, the management of its human resources, and the supplying and operation of its facilities.
  • The Dean will have sufficient resources and authority to fulfill the responsibility for the management and evaluation of the curriculum.
